TIPS TO AVOID LOSING DATA
If you lose your data, do not tamper with the device or even software, as you risk overwriting your data, let alone physically.
Keep your computer, your external hard drive or your media, away from sources of heat.
In the case of external devices, keep them working only for as long as it is necessary. Remember to turn them off when not in use, especially multimedia ones.
In the case of DTT external hard drives, please bear in mind that in order to watch television the device must always be in operation, with the risk that entails.
In the case of external hard drive, be careful not to hit or shake the device sharply while it is in operation.
Defragment your device often, this will result in the mechanical components of the hard drive moving less, thus avoiding excessive wear.
Install an Antivirus program, but keep it UPDATED!.
If you are going to move your hard drive, do it in the best possible conditions to prevent accidental damage, e.g. in a case or cover. The aim is to avoid knocking it.
